Font Permission

So for those unfamiliar with Homestuck, each character has a unique typing quirk and font that identifies them when they're messaging others. Karkat TYPES IN BOLD GREY TEXT, COURIER FONT, ALL CAPS. IT'S PRETTY MUCH NORMAL, UNLESS YOU COUNT THE FUCKING SWEARING THAT HE'LL BE THROWING IN YOUR DIRECTION AT SPEEDS SO FAST THAT IT'LL MAKE YOUR VERY OCULARS MELT IN THEIR SOCKETS WHILE YOU LAY PROSTRATE TO HIS ORNERY ASSAULT. There are rare occasions (such as if he's talking to one of his alternate selves or certain scenarios call for it), Karkat will instead opt to type IN HIS REAL BLOOD COLOUR instead of his usual Grey colour. If you aren't a fan of the text just leave a message here, and I'll be sure not use this font when Karkat is interacting with your character.

Troll Biology and Karkat Headcanon

So here are a few things to note about the headcanon I use when dealing with Karkat. He’s a Troll, and trolls have different anatomy from humans, which I’ll explain here:

( Physical )

-When trolls are grubs, their horns serve them the same way an insect's antennae serve them; they help them get a feel of their surroundings and help them navigate in the Brooding Caverns. The outer layer of the horns are soft and almost spongy, and as such a grub's horns are extremely sensitive to outside stimulation.

-After a troll pupates, their horns harden and become more bone-like. They lose much of their sensitivity after pupating, and can be useful as a secondary weapon in battle.
